9th CIRSD Board Meeting

On September 21 and 22nd, the Center for International Relations and Sustainable Development (CIRSD) held the 9th meeting of its International Board of Advisers at the Faculty Club of Harvard University, one of the global academic community’s most prestigious venues‎.

During the meeting, a report was presented of CIRSD’s activities during 2015. In addition, CIRSD’s plan of events for the period ahead was outlined. A number of proposals for new and continuing projects were also adopted and are expected to be materialized in 2016.

‎These include themes of forthcoming issues of CIRSD’s flagship English-language magazine Horizons; a series of Davos-style Horizons Discussions ‎to promote the magazine; a number of conferences that will take place in Belgrade and throughout Europe and the world; and the release of several one-off analytic studies on current issues in international relations and sustainable development.

‎The CIRSD Board meeting also featured off-the-record discussions between its members on recent international developments. Topics included the Middle East, China and the United States, Africa, Southeast Asia, Latin America, the crises in Europe, the UN post-2015 sustainable development agenda, the forthcoming COP21 climate summit and other important multilateral processes, and UN reform.
