Human Rights Day. Concert Culture for Peace

On the 10th of December 2014 at the occasion of the Human Right Day I have organized, as president of the Onuart Foundation, the Concert for Peace, that took place, at Room XX at the Palais des Nations at United Nations in Geneva; the so called “Human Rights and Alliance of Civilization Chamber”, with the great artwork in its dome made by Miquel Barceló.

This big concert that celebrated the International Human Rights Day and the 70th anniversary of the UN was the first in history to be hold in the Human Rights and Alliance of Civilizations Chamber.

The concert had as leading tenor Juan Diego Florez who was accompanied by  Sopranos, Pretty Yende from South Africa, and Fatma Said from Egypt and the bass Sergei Artamonov. The Orchestra Harmonia Simphony was conducted by Pablo Mielgo and was quite unique gathering of the best musicians of the System of Youth Orchestras formed by great musicians who had very difficult childhood and found through music the way of his/her social integration.
